Oceanside is a gpsl based out of orange county, california. It is a home for those who wish to continue with their characters from shores. Anybody is welcomed and encouraged to join! It goes without saying that there is no room for any god-modding, plagiarizing, or ooc drama/bullying. This game is meant to be a fun, lighthearted home for people who want to explore their character(s), write, and have a good time that’s worry-free!

1. Adds will take place twice a week unless otherwise noted.

2. Usernames must be ooc with both friends only and contact posts backdated.

3. ALl that is required upon applying is a blurb or short list of facts for your character.

3. Examples can be left in the dropbox found here, as well as any questions, comments, or concerns you might have before applying. We would like to see at least one journal entry (narrative or otherwise), and one scene example.

4. Rejections will be based completely on the quality of writing in the examples provided and if you followed the rules of applying. We reserve the right to not answer any questions on why you were rejected. However, we will try to help as best as we can.

1. Upon acceptance, you are required to post an introduction in chatter within three days. Failure to do so will result in immediate removal. We will not wait until the next set of adds.

2. The activity period will always be from the first Sunday of each month to the last Sunday of the same month. In the event that this is not long enough, adjustments will be made.

3. An update can be any of the following - a minimum of 100 words for written content, anything that is HTML/CSS heavy, or a scene with at least four replies from you. It is preferred that activity extends beyond updates with commenting around on the friends page along with keeping your friends list up to date. Failure to update your friendslist once every two weeks will result in your removal.

4. If you end up joining beyond the halfway mark of a particular activity period, you will have two weeks to update with something small - like a single photo ig post, for example - before being put into the normal rotation the following month.

5. Hiatuses will last five weeks and can extend beyond that on a case-by-case basis. Extensions are available, lasting one entire activity period. Both may not be used back to back, with at least one activity period passing before requesting either after initial use.

6. As far as pbs go, they must be at least 18 years of age and realistic to their actual background and ethnicity. A limit of two pb changes every six months is applicable. You must wait until your request is approved before making any changes.

7. You may have up to three characters in the game depending on the level of activity of characters you currently have.

8. Please keep realism in mind. Pregnancies should last a full nine months unless plotted appropriately. Suicide attempts, since it is a touchy subject, need to be brought to the mods. This is pb, not faux celeb, so please be mindful of the career choices your characters make. Being an actor, singer, model is fine. If you worry you are being unrealistic, ask us.
